Spain's automotive industry emerged in 1898 as “La Cuadra” was founded. Later on the companies was known as Hispano-Suiza. Spain was also known for other pre war car brands such as Elizalde and Rirat. Today, Spain is still manufacturing it's own cars as well as for other international car brands.
