Pre War cars

The pre war car era and the vintage car era started in 1917, or when World War I ended, and lasted until 1925, and some believe that until the start of World War II. Automobiles in the pre war car era were dominated by closed bodies, which were more practical, and luxurious. Coachbuilding was introduced and became a standard for the wealthy. Famous car manufacturers such as Cadillac, Delahaye, and Duesenberg provided their chassis, and powertrains, to coach builders such as Carrosserie Vanvooren, Darl Mat, Fernandez et Darrin, Figoni et Falaschi, Fleetwood, Franay, Hartmann, Judkins Berline, and LeBaron.
